McLaren & Co

J&H McLaren & Co. was a British engineering company that manufactured road rollers, traction and stationary engines. McLaren was founded in 1876 and had its headquarters in Hunslet, England. McLaren had offices around the world and 50% of their production was exported. The company did adjust to the change in times and later built diesel powered machines too.
In 1943 ownership changed to the Associated British Oil Engine Company and for a few more years all was good. After ABOE was taken over by Hawker Siddeley in 1957 business went down and two years later the works closed.
