Aveling and Porter

Aveling and Porter was a British steam roller, agricultural engines, traction engines and steam wagons manufacturer. The partnership was established in 1856 with their first steam roller produced in 1865.
The company went well until 1919 when it became part of the AGE (Agricultural & General Engineers) which went into receivership in 1932. In 1933 they continued with a merger with Barford & Perkins to form Aveling-Barford and they even produced steam rollers after WWII!
